Precision Finding: If your AirTag is nearby, your iPhone can lead you straight to it using Ultra Wideband technology. You’ll see the exact distance and direction on your screen (available on iPhone 11 and newer).

The Find My Network: If you’ve left your item further away (like at the gym or the beach), the AirTag sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby devices in the Find My network. They relay the location to iCloud, so you can see it on a map—all anonymously.

Lost Mode: Just like your other Apple devices, you can put AirTag into Lost Mode. If it’s detected by a device in the network, you’ll get a notification automatically. You can also set it so someone can get your contact info by tapping your AirTag with an NFC-capable smartphone.
